Questions, answered.
Is it really free to start?
Yes. HandyHome is free for contractors during launch, with no subscription, no bid fees and no per-lead fees. If we introduce pricing later, we will announce it in advance.
How is this different from Thumbtack or HomeAdvisor?
Those platforms charge you for each lead, whether or not you win the job. HandyHome is free for contractors during launch, with unlimited bids, and homeowners pay you directly when the work is done.
How do I get paid?
When a homeowner accepts your bid, you arrange payment with them directly: cash, check or your own payment method. During the pilot there is no platform fee on the job itself.
What does HandyCheck involve?
A person on our team reviews every application before the profile goes live: that your trade matches the work you want, that you serve the areas you list, and that your business details are real. HandyCheck is a profile review. It is not a background check, license verification or insurance check.
What trades are you accepting?
Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, roofing, lawn and garden, cleaning, handyman, windows and doors, and kitchen and bath remodels. If your trade is not listed, apply anyway. We are expanding based on demand.
Be the pro Atlanta homeowners find first.
Free during launch. No subscription, no bid fees, no commission.
